Normandale Community College is requesting proposals for the installation and repair electrical systems and components. Technical/Functional Requirements 1. Ensure that all electrical systems meet specified performance criteria, such as voltage, current, and power ratings. 2. Adhere to all relevant safety standards and regulations, including those from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). 3. Systems should be designed for high reliability with minimal downtime. 4. Systems should be easy to maintain, with clear documentation and accessible components. 5. Ensure compatibility with existing systems and infrastructure. 6. Specify the types of materials and components to be used, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers. 7. Follow industry standards for installation, such as those from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the International Building Code (IBC) 8. Include requirements for testing and commissioning to verify that the installation meets all specified requirements. 9. Provide detailed documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals. 10. Ensure that systems are designed to operate efficiently in the local environmental conditions. Selection Process The selection process includes Associate Vice President of Operations and Safety, Assistant Facilities Manager, and Facilities Management Office Manager. This group will evaluate the proposals and make the final decision. Normandale Community College desires to enter into a contract with the successful vendor(s) effective July 1, 2025. The length of such contract(s) shall be Three years with a possible one-year extension. If Normandale Community College and the vendor is unable to negotiate and sign a contract by June 9th 2025, then Normandale Community College reserves the right to seek an alternative vendor(s).
