The Board of Education, Frankfort Community Consolidated School District 157-C will receive sealed bids for the 2025 Summer Work at Grand Prairie Elementary School, according to Contract Documents and Bid Specifications prepared by FGM Architects Inc., 1211 West 22nd Street, Suite 700 Oak Brook, Illinois 60523. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, sealcoating and restriping asphalt lots, drives, walkways, and decorative fence installation at Grand Prairie Elementary School. All sealed bids should be addressed to Frankfort School District #157-C and clearly marked on the outside as "2025 Summer Work", as appropriate. CONTRACT TYPE Bids will be based on a single lump sum General Construction Contract, with any applicable alternate bids considered individually, as may be in the best interest of the Board of Education. Bid Security is required in the amount of ten percent (10%) percent of Project Proposal, made payable unconditionally to the Owner. Security shall be either certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Within ten (10) days after notification of award of contract, the successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder, using a form similar to the AIA Form 312, or one acceptable to the Owner. The performance bond will become a part of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the district. The Owner also reserves the right to award a partial amount of the specification rather than the entire amount, or alternates as it deems appropriate. All bids submitted shall be valid for a period of at least sixty days from the date of bid opening; the only alterations or adjustments allowed will be those approved by the Board of Education. Each bidder shall submit with his proposal a list of no less than four different construction projects that have been completed within the last four years that relate to the scope and type of work being specified in the bid documents.
