Inspect and Repair Centrifuge No. 2 for the City of Madera Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) No verbal requests or requests made in any other format will be accepted. Any questions about this IFB must be submitted electronically and individually (not in a paragraph format nor combined in a single submission )through online. This is a prevailing wage project. Scope of Services It is the City's intent to solicit bids for the inspection and repair of Centrifuge No. 2, Centrysis Model CS 18-4 2PH that is currently in use at our WWTP. Contractor must fully restore the centrifuge to optimal working condition by uninstalling the equipment, performing inspection at their establishment, prepare reports, performing all necessary repairs, part replacements, and reinstalling equipment at the WWTP. The estimated budget for this service is $85,000. Question Deadline 01/28/2025 at 4:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes Award will be made to the bidder who submits the lowest responsive, responsible bid for the product(s) as specified herein. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of quote, and in the form of a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer licensed by the California Department of Insurance, cash, cashier's check, or certified check shall accompany bids. Bid securitiesshall be made in favor of the City of Madera. Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of Bid isrequired within 7 days of the Notice of Award on all projects valued at $25,000 and above. Performance Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of Bid is required within 7 days of the Notice of Award on all projects valued at $100,000 and above. Prevailing Wages This project is classified as a public works project subject to California Labor Code 1770 et seq., The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality in which the work is to be performed, for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to execute this contract. Per Diem wages shall be deemed to include employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, apprenticeship or other training programs, and similar purposes. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code, and Section 10164 and 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted, nor will any contract be entered into without proof of the Bidder's and its subcontractors' current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations. Bidder shall certify that Bidder and all listed subcontractors are currently and validly registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and shall include its registration number on its bid. Each Bidder shall provide the registration number for each listed subcontractor in the space provided. If awarded a Contract, the Bidder and its subcontractors of every tier shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the Contract. It shall be the Bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements. In the event this Invitation for Bid is obtained through any means other than the City's distribution, the City will not be responsible for the completeness, accuracy or timeliness of the final bid document and may deem bid non-responsive.
