Demolition, site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Madera, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the demolition of a two-story above grade medical facility.
Construction is underway and is expected to be complete February 2026. Reference Number : 0000372373 The scope of work consists of tenant improvements in an existing 2-story medical office building. The tenant improvements include new interior partitions, doors, casework, ceilings, flooring and finishes, and modifications to the existing mechanical electrical, plumbing systems as well as fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems. Exterior improvements include addition of two new doors with sidelights, ADA parking improvement, back-up generator, and exterior ornamental fencing. It should be noted this is not an OSPHD-3 facility and does not require an OSHPD-3 review. PROJECT LOCATION: 1604 Sunrise Avenue, Madera, CA 93638 Question Deadline 01/29/2025 at 5:00 PM PT All Contractual and Technical Questions Should Be Directed to the Capital Projects Manager, Jorge Mendoza, at Jorge.mendoza@maderacounty.com. Questions Shall Be Submitted on the Request for Clarification Form Provided in the Contract Documents. Questions Shall Be Received by the Project Manager. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the County with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety company that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and is authorized by the State of California, and all documents required by Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.660, to the extent required by law. The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the Contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request. A copy of these rates shall be posted at the job site. The Contractor shall possess a valid California Class B license or necessary permit(s) at the time this Project is bid. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license throughout the duration of the Contract. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS: The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. CONSTRUCTION TIME: The successful CONTRACTOR (after receiving the Notice to Proceed) shall have Two Hundred Sixty (260) calendar days to complete all work called for under the Contract Documents. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: The liquidated damages will be $1,000 per day for the project delays that are determined to be attributable to the CONTRACTOR.
