Site work for a water / sewer project in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This specification covers the Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA) requirements for compaction of earth and granular materials for all items in the contract and is in addition to requirements specified in OPSS 401, OPSS 206, OPSS 314 and City of Ottawa Specification SP-F3147. This Special Provision covers the requirements for all granular materials and earth placed within the road structure, sidewalks, curbs, culverts, structures, watermain trenches, sewer trenches, all other utility trench reinstatements and all service connection trenches. At the time of tendering, the Tenderer shall submit, with its Tender, a deposit in the form of an electronic bid bond from the Tenderers surety in favour of the City of Ottawa. The amount of the Tender deposit shall equal at least ten percent (10%) of the Total Tender Price. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
