For Phase One remodeling of the Council Room The work includes General Construction, Mechanical Work, Plumbing Work and Electrical Work, all to be let under one prime contract. A cashiers check or acceptable bidders bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid submitted must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as maybe required. If a Bid Bond is provided, the Bond must be signed by an authorized agent of the Bonding Company and the agents power of attorney must be submitted with the Bid Bond. All bidders shall conform to the requirements of Arkansas Code Annotated 17-25-315,Arkansas State Licensing Law for Contractors solely for the purpose of submitting a bid to the state agency, board, or commission on projects involving federal aid funds prior to the contractors being licensed by the board. Docs notes: Any required deposit shall be refunded to Bidders who submit a bona fide Bid and return paper bidding Documents in good condition within ten (10) days after receipt of Bids. A Bidder receiving a Contract award may retain paper Bidding Documents, and the Bidders deposit will be refunded. Additional sets or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, may be obtained for the actual cost of printing, shipping and handling, and will be non-refundable. The Owner reserves the right to waive any formalities in, or to reject any or all bids.
