Site work for a swimming pool in Delaware, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for site work for a swimming pool.
In 2025 &2026, we are proposing improvements to the Jack Florance Pool. The improvements would bring the aged facility up to modern standards, while making the amenity more accessible for leisure and recreation swimming. The existing facility has had updates through the years, but much of the infrastructure is approaching 50 years. Staff has done a tremendous job of patching equipment; however larger mechanical and safety issues are looming. Modernizing the facility is long overdue to maximize utility efficiencies and space utilization. As of January 21, 2025, this project is included in the City of Delaware's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding is allotted for construction in 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
