Reference Number 0000373722 Delivery Point: Park County WORK MUST BE COMPLETED BY December 31, 2025 Park County is seeking an architect to provide architectural services and coordinate engineering services for the next phase of rehabilitation at the Paris Mill located on the eastern slope of the Mosquito Range. This 1895 mill is an important historic resource of the area and a priority preservation project for the community. The proposed scope of work, phase 8, addresses accessibility and interior rehabilitation. The Paris Mill is one of the few intact mills remaining from this era in Colorado due to its extensive machinery, engineered systems, structural elements and architectural aspects. Phase 8 construction of the mill is a natural continuation of work and another important step in this multi-phase preservation project. Location: This project is located three miles west of the town of Alma, CO on Park County Road 8. The Mill property adjoins Pike National Forest and is situated at the foot of Mount Bross to the north and Loveland Mountain to the south. Buckskin Creek lies to the south of the Mill. Description The Paris Mill is a an industrial, timber framed structure including three additions that form a complex roof line and irregular footprint measuring approximately 114 by 76 feet and rising to more than 40 feet at its highest point. The Mill's roof line is comprised of multiple shed and gable roofs covered in corrugated metal. The walls of the Mill are wood framed with vertical wood sheathing covered in rolled asphalt. The Mill complex includes a tramway tower, ore bin, crushing section, concentration section, engine wing, tank house, storeroom, assay office, gold precipitation wing, and cyanidation wing.
