The work for which bids are asked includes the following: Work for the project includes 260 LF of town road reconstruction required for the replacement an existing stormwater structure including but not limited to clearing, grubbing, sawcut asphalt, removing asphalt surface, unclassified excavation, removing existing structure, 49.5 LF of 16-foot-8-inch x 7-foot-6-inch aluminum box culvert with headwalls and wingwalls, structure backfill, base aggregate, asphalt pavement, traffic control, riprap, geotextile fabric, salvaged topsoil and restoration. The anticipated substantial completion date is thirty (30) calendar days following the start of construction, and final completion date is five (5) additional calendar days following substantial completion or October 1, 2025 (whichever comes first). No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Question Deadline 02/03/2025
