Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Barron, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

As of April 08, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 21,2025. The Project includes the following Work: Modifications to the existing Lift Station Building such as heating and ventilation equipment replacement, blower and blower piping removal, electrical equipment removals, removal of process piping and pumps, providing new process piping and pumps, water piping, water fill station, heating and ventilation, electrical, and wetwell modifications. Provide a new screen and grit building complete and generally including new screen and grit removal equipment and all earthwork, structural, architectural, mechanical and plumbing, electrical and controls, process, and appurtenant work. Also providing site work generally including forcemain piping, water piping, new electrical service, natural gas piping, process piping, drain tile piping, sanitary sewer piping, driveway and parking area work and grading. Project also includes providing a new control panel for two (2) existing lift stations and a new SCADA panel for seven (7) existing lift stations located throughout the City of Barron's wastewater collection system. The anticipated substantial completion date is September 1, 2026 and final completion date is October 31, 2026. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. This project anticipates use of Wisconsin DNR Clean Water Fund Program funding. We encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Small Businesses in Rural Areas (SBRAs) to submit bid proposals. A municipality, in awarding prime contracts, and primary contractor, in awarding subcontracts, are required to make a good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization in accordance with s.NR 162.09(3), s.NR 166.12(4), and s.NR 167.18(4) Wis. Admin. Code. If a subcontractor awards subcontracts, these requirements shall apply to the subcontractor. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
