Replacement of Bridge No. EB-707 at Milepost 304.44 in Chester County This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, and work necessary for the replacement of an existing single span steel girder bridge with a two span, prestressed bulb-tee bridge. Work also includes the reconstruction of T-501 (Marsh Road) and T-400 (Adams Road), utility installations, drainage modifications, installation of compost sock sediment traps, construction of stormwater basins, and maintenance and protection of traffic. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project.
