Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in North Wildwood, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
**As of March 21, 2025 the project has not been awarded yet. The timeline for award has not yet been established.** Work under this contract shall include furnishing all labor, equipment and materials required to complete selective demolition of the existing building, finishes and mechanical equipment and to construct the building and mechanical improvements as shown and as detailed in the contract documents. Project Description The scope of work includes replacement of the roofs, repair and pointing of the exterior facade; as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing improvements within and on the facility. Prospective bidders and their subcontractors may visit the building exterior at their leisure . All bids must be accompanied by bid security. The bid security shall be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond executed by the principal and surety company attorney in fact and witnessed and attested to with the power of attorney attached, in the amount of 10% of the amount of the bid but not to exceed $20,000.00 and made payable to the 'City of North Wildwood In addition to the certified check, cashier's check or bid bond as bid security, each bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety of a surety company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the City of North Wildwood that in event of an award of a Contract to the Bidder, said surety will furnish the required bonds in the sum of the full amount of the bid as set forth and as required herein. The successful Bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder will be required, upon final payment, to furnish a two-year General Maintenance Bond acceptable to the City of North Wildwood, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. Should the successful Bidder to which this Contract is awarded fail to comply with the above provisions as to the submission of the required bonds, fully execute or to execute the Contract within the time required herein, the Owner may at their sole discretion, declare the successful Bidder in default, and shall be entitled to retain the bid security. Under the statutes of the State of New Jersey, the Contractor will be required to pay prevailing wages for each classification of labor including appropriate fringe benefits. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of Executive Order 11246 of September 24, 1965, and all of the rules, regulations, and relevant orders of the Secretary of Labor The City of North Wildwood reserves the right to reject any bid pursuant to law and all bids may be rejected pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2.
