Project Description: Installation of new Restroom Facility at Shennecossett Golf Course on an undeveloped site, including construction of new utilities and related site work and repaving. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the form of bid bond or certified check subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. signed by a responsible Surety, in the amount of 10% of the total amount of the tendered bid and made payable to the order of the Town of Groton. In lieu of a Performance Bond, a security in a form acceptable to the Town (for example, letter of credit or an assigned passbook) in the amount of 100% of the Contract may be substituted. In lieu of a Payment Bond, a security in a form acceptable to the Town (for example, a letter of credit or an assigned passbook) in the amount of 100% of the Contract may be substituted. Bidder must agree also to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $200.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in the GENERAL CONDITIONS BIDDER must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written Notice to Proceed from the OWNER and to fully complete the project within 240 consecutive calendar days thereafter. The Town of Groton reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any or all bids.
