Description

Renovation of a municipal facility in Groton, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Spicer Rowing Barn Roof Replacement Removal and replacement of the shingle roof for the rowboat storage building behind the Spicer House, located at 29 Spicer Ave. Also includes renovations to all exterior sides of the barn, including window replacement, repainting, and replacing of deteriorated siding as needed. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the form of bid bond or certified check subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The Town of Groton reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any or all bids. Question Deadline 08/13/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Owner at cdennis@groton-ct.gov / 860-448-4068. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Briefly and without force and effect upon Contract Documents, the work of the Contract can be summarized as follows: Roofing: Removing and replacing existing asphalt shingle roof. Painting: Repainting the exterior of Rowing Storage barn. Replacing of Wood Window. Incidental Exterior Siding restoration.
