Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Gowanda, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.

This project will replace the bridges on US Route 62 over Conewango Creek and US Route 62 over State Drain Ditch and the culvert over Conewango overflow, in the Town of Conewango, Cattaraugus County. As of May 7, 2026, this project is in the conceptual phase. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, bidding is not expected to start prior to winter 2026/2027 and construction is not expected to start prior to spring of 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP).
