Description of Work: the Work Consists of Roadway Reconstruction, Including Pavement Removal, Drive Construction, Drainage Improvements, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Sidewalk Replacement, and Asphalt Paving on Washington Street Beginning Just East of Liberty Street and Ending Just West of the CSX Railroad Crossing. Completion Date: This Work Shall Be Substantially Completed by October 25, 2025, and Fully Completed by November 8, 2025. All contractors and subcontractors listed in each bid must be properly licensed in the Town of Lowell as a condition of being awarded the project. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Town of Lowell or an acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. No bidder may withdraw his proposal for a period of 60 days following the date set for receiving bids. Indiana Requirement: Standard Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2009) Which Includes Non-collusion Affidavit Will Be Required. The Town of Lowell reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days, and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Town of Lowell further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the contract to any Bidder all to the advantage of the Town of Lowell or to reject all bids.
