This Invitation for bids seeks a professional contractor to provide and install new HVAC systems at Hanahan Elementary School per the Specifications and Drawings. 1. The removal of the rooftop dedicated air units and installation of new dedicated air units on the ground. 2. Work to include all associated roof work, HVAC work, concreate work, controls, electrical, building envelope work and any other work needed to complete this project as designed. Project Location: 4000 Mabeline Road, Hanahan, SC 29410 BACKGROUND: Berkeley County School District (BCSD) is the fourth largest school district in the State of South Carolina. The District covers a geographic area of 1,229 square miles. It is one of the fastest growing counties in the state, in terms of population, and is located just north of Charleston, South Carolina. BCSD currently serves a student population of over 39,000 students ranging from pre-school to high school. The District currently operates 49 schools (30 elementary/intermediate schools, 11 middle schools, 8 high schools). In addition to these schools, the District operates other specialized learning centers and has multiple administrative and support facilities located throughout Berkeley County. In addition, construction of 3 schools to be completed within 3 years.
