THE CITY OF HANAHAN hereinafter referred to as the (COH), is accepting PROPOSALS for Covered Pickleball Courts. The City of Hanahan invites qualified design-build firms to submit their proposals for the design, permitting, and construction of covered pickleball courts at Hawks Nest Park. This RFP is intended to prequalify firms with proven experience in community recreational facilities, design-build delivery methods, and successful project management to create a state-of-the-art, covered pickleball facility that meets local needs and enhances community engagement. All questions must be in writing via email and received by May 23, 2025. The COH reserves the right to interview all or any of the responding firms to this RFP. All proposals must provide satisfactory evidence of ability to furnish services in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the solicitation. Bidders may request access to sites by appointment prior to submission of proposals. SCOPE OF WORK: The selected design-builder will be responsible for providing a full spectrum of services, including but not limited to: Conceptual and Schematic Design: Developing creative and functional design options that address site conditions, usage requirements, and sustainability. Design Development & Construction Documents: Producing detailed drawings and specifications that meet all regulatory and permitting requirements. Preconstruction Services: Budgeting, value-engineering, coordination of early-release packages, and design coordination. Permitting and Approvals: Managing the permitting process with relevant authorities, including environmental reviews, zoning variances, and building permits. Construction Management: Overseeing construction, ensuring quality control, schedule adherence, and budget management from groundbreaking to final completion. Coordination & Integration: Working collaboratively with the City, park staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and integration with existing park amenities All questions must be in writing via email and received by May 23, 2025.
