Renovation of a detention facility in Gaffney, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Cherokee County is seeking qualified contractors to replace the roof at the Cherokee County Law Enforcement Center located at 312 E. Frederick St, Gaffney, SC 29340. The Contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and permits (if any are required) to complete the below referenced project based on the following scope of work: o Remove existing roof down to metal substrate o Provide & install a fully adhered 60mil PVC roof system with 1/2 dens deck cover board. -Insulation to be r20 (3.5") o Install crickets between scuppers and behind each HVAC unit. o Approximately 225' walk pads at roof hatch & to each HVAC unit. o Paint gas lines safety yellow and pipe supports to be a non-wood product. o Flash all walls, pipes, curbs, and pitch pockets as needed. Replace all metal coping caps with new medium bronze 24 gauge. o Provide 20-year manufacturer NDL warranty. o All work will need to be scheduled in advance with Tim Hartman o The contractor will be responsible for any equipment needed for this bid (including lifts as there is not contractor roof access through the inside of the building) o All equipment and debris relating to this project will be removed from the site o The contractor will be responsible for any damage done to the building related to the replacing of the roof.
