Cherokee County is seeking a bids from experienced, qualified vendors who specialize in repainting the kitchen area at the Cherokee County Dept. Of Corrections. SUMMARY OF WORK o Prep and paint all surfaces in kitchen area to also include office, pantry, closet and restroom o Prep for walls to include removing all latex paint from oil-base paint surface through manual abrasion and spraying with a cleaner afterwards if needed o Prep for ceiling will include repairing peeling area above dish washing stationand current patch next tooffice, then prime fixes and clean ceiling o Prep for doors/frames and window frames will includesanding/grinding rust, priming bare metal and cleaning (Note: Rust has already eaten through metal skins on doors; rebuilding any metal surfaces is not in thescope of this project) o All protective items will be removed from their existing placements to include the stainless steel sheet metal behind dish washing area, FRP pieces in washstations andcorner guards (Note: These will not be replaced) o All items will be unfastened from the cinder block walls to allow all wall surfaces to be paintedand refastened after painting o Holes in cinder blocks will be filled with a product which can cure and be painted o Kitchen grade epoxy paint MUST be used o Remove trash from work area and place into customer supplied, on-site trash receptacle o Client is flexible in fixture or fastener placement while refastening fixtures to cinder block given the potential of the original hole to not be an effective anchor point o Gas powered pressure washing equipment may be used in work area o Labor and materials included o Daily:Ladders are taken down andstored in adesignated area along withall other tools andsupplies. Debris will be swept and removed from the property or deposited in the appropriate trash receptacle according to the customer's preference. o Upon Completion: Tools, supplies, equipment and debris will be removed from the property.
