Site work and paving for a road / highway in Sutton, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
A group of street projects which involves the removal and replacement of concrete for streets on separate locations within the City of Sutton which are 'generally' identified (referenced) by the closest street and/or intersection location as: 1. Forrest Street & Maltby Avenue Intersection 2. Ada Street Parking Project 3. East Hickory Street (block by Nolde Center) 4. West Cedar Street ( 1/2 block west of Butler intersection) Each project location (listed above) will be considered as an individual project. Due to budget parameters for street projects, the total number of street projects to be performed in the fiscal year will be determined when reviewing the bids. A line item for each project location (using the name and/or numeral above) cost is required. A map outline of projects and estimated linear feet within each project is available at request by bidder. Onsite inspection with city administrator or public works supervisor to gather project information is recommended. Street repair of each project location will need to consider safety and barrier measures, existing concrete removal, any needed base removal and replacement, concrete replacement for street, curb & gutter, any driveway entry (if needed) within ROW, any storm drainage inlets (if needed), cutting or widening of seams. City will provide and place crack fill in joints, unless otherwise indicated in the bid by the contractor. Street pavement thickness should be bid at 8" depth, unless otherwise indicated on the bid, that such a depth is not needed for a specific street project. Any suggested depth by the bidder shall be indicated as an alternative for that specific project. Any street with asphalt (such as East Hickory by Nolde Center), should provide the cost for this particular project utilizing asphalt cost and any concrete base cost underneath. Bid should indicate a line item for the cost of removal of concrete on each project. A breakout cost per square yard should be identified. It is expected by the City that the Contractor will deliver refuse concrete and/or asphalt to city storage yard; although, if contractor desires to provide an option to city for bidder keeping refuse concrete and/or asphalt, such option (with its value) should be indicated within bid outline as either: 1) a deduct on project or 2) the estimated tonnage amount of value-added product (crushed concrete material) to be provided back to City after project is completed. Bid needs to include cost for removal and replacement of subgrade (if needed). The subgrade breakout cost per square/yard of subgrade should be indicated for each project. Bid needs to indicate 'estimated' start date for project and the date for completion of each project location. A completion date for all project locations should be no later than September 15th, 2025, but alternative dates of completion will be considered. All aspects of the bid requirements listed above must be indicated in the bid, with a single summary total for the completed project, with any alternates outlined. At the above-mentioned bid deadline, all received bids will be opened at a meeting within City Hall, which is open to bidders. The bid will not be awarded at the time of opening, but rather the City reserves the right to hold over bids for further examination and consideration at the next regular city council meeting. Bids received after the submission deadline will be rejected. The City of Sutton reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts of bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request a re-bid on the project.
