Reference Number 0000373973 This specification describes the minimum requirements for Piles and Pile Driving Equipment Service for use on the Dry Brook Road Bridge Replacement Project located in the Town of Chemung for the County of Chemung. a. Piles: Under this work, the Contractor shall furnish and place piles of the type and size and at the locations indicated on the plans, or where ordered by the County Engineer. The Contractor shall furnish equipment and personnel for dynamic pile tests as required. b. Splices for Steel Bearing Piles: Pile splices shall be constructed as shown on the Plans, or as approved by the EOR (Engineer of Record) or his direct representative. c. Furnishing Equipment for Driving Piles. Under this work, the Contractor shall furnish equipment at the site for driving piles. The Contractor shall submit to the EOR, NYSDOT Form BD 138, "Pile Driving Equipment Data," for approval. The EOR shall be allowed 10 working days upon receipt for review. Additional submissions proposed by the Contractor shall require a corresponding Form BD 138.
