Site work for a mixed-use development in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work under this contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials, tools, and equipment to complete traffic signal improvements as described under the Andover Street /Ames Pond Drive Traffic Signal Improvements Project. The work includes but is not limited to the replacement of the existing malfunction management units (mmu), installation of a controller in the existing controller cabinet, updates to signal timing, installation of new 3-section signal heads and 4- section signal heads on existing mast arms, new pedestrian signal heads and pushbuttons on a new post, and the installation of ramps at the crosswalk with detectable warning panels that are in accordance with MassDOT construction specifications, and all else necessary for the successful completion of the work. No guarantees are made for the amount of work to be done. Final quantities will be determined by the Engineer based on bid pricing received. The Owner does not guarantee a specific quantity to be purchased, or items to be used. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in form of a certified check, cashier's check or security bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of 45 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Traffic Signals for the project with an estimated value of $77,663.00 will be required. The Owner reserves the right, in its absolute and sole discretion, to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
