Reference Number 0000286140 Question Acceptance Deadline 07-Feb-2025 01:30:00 PM EST Bid Intent Deadline 21-Feb-2025 12:00:00 PM EST Project Delivery Large Value Retainer 2 (LVR 2) - to provide Engineering Consulting services on a Retainer basis over a 3-year term. The Ministry anticipates that it will require the provision of technical services in the following geographic area: Area East, Area North, Area South (Area Southeast & Area Southwest). Assignments under this retainer will primarily involve Planning, Preliminary Design, Detail Design, Contract Preparation and Design Liaison during tendering and construction for the following types of highway/bridge/intersection projects: Planning, preliminary and detail design type assignments. Highway rehabilitation including widening projects involving adjustments to horizontal alignment or vertical profile. Landscaping and aesthetic design. Noise barriers. Intersection designs and ramp terminal improvements. Bridge and culvert rehabilitation/replacement design. Design of roadside safety, slope rehabilitation, resurfacing, drainage, etc.. Design of carpool lots. Facility improvements. The Planning, Preliminary Design, and Detail Design work includes engineering services in the following functional categories: Highway Planning Environmental Planning Transportation (Systems) Planning Advanced Traffic Management Systems Bridge Engineering Drainage and Hydrology Engineering Electrical Engineering Engineering Materials Testing and Evaluation Environmental (Preliminary Design and/or Detail Design) Foundation Engineering Highway Engineering Pavement Engineering Surveying Traffic Engineering Value Engineering Property/Corridor Management Constructability Review The scope of work will include the performance of all work necessary or appropriate to deliver the individual Work Items requested by the Ministry throughout the term of the Retainer Assignment in conformance with the standards, criteria and requirements of the Technical Standards and Specifications. As well, when providing services under this Agreement, the Service Provider shall comply with all applicable legislation, regulatory standards, industry best management practices, and other guidelines and procedures relevant to conduct the work. The Service Provider shall also consult any existing applicable MTO guidance documents as appropriate. This assignment may include work that is in a French Language Services designated area. For each work item the Service Provider is to determine if French language services are required under the French Language Services Act. The Service Provider must comply with all provisions of the Act, including but not limited to Third Party Regulation 284/11.
