Quotes are required for a new public works building, for waste management and recycling use, 7 km outside of Churchill at 58.75563869158491, -94.08301891534143. Work for this Contract comprises a quote for the materials, transport of materials and construction of a new Public Works Waste Management building consisting of a large unheated storage area, and an insulated, heated smaller area with a fire wall between. The smaller area has two offices, a contained washroom with water and sewage tanks, and an area where an in-vessel compost unit will be situated. Ventilation and heating must take into account that the building will be used to store waste. The building must meet northern building standards, and preference will be given to low carbon and green building materials and methods, although a steel structure is acceptable. (Plan/Drawing available) The site is gravel over bed rock. The foundation is to be quoted separately. Low Carbon cement is preferred. There is three phase electricity on site, but no water and sewage. For this reason tanks are needed for the washroom and water needs, and the fill and discharge will be accessible from the large area. The plan may be modified with consultation. This is a two phase competition: this first phase will pre-qualify bidders. Phase two will take place once the grant is approved. There may be changes in requirements when grant funding has been approved. Start date for the construction of the building will be summer of 2025.
