As of April 4, 2025 project was awarded to Southern Concrete Construction Company in the amount $2,099,265.65 PE-73750-NONST-2025-000000018 The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed 18th Street Ditch Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of the removal of four bridge driveway structures over the south side ditch and their replacement with four double 8ft x 8ft concrete box culverts. The project also includes the installation of a concrete side barrier, curb and gutter, and guardrail as well as roadway asphalt overlay, utility adjustment relocation and all other associated appurtenances required for a complete project, as outlined in the construction drawings and specifications. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening ofBids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Contractor License: Bidders submitting a bid of $2,000,000 or less must be either prequalified contractor or a registered subcontractor with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Bonds: All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred ten percent (110%) of the Contract amount.
