Description: The work for which proposals are asked may include the following: Removing Asphaltic Surface Milling, Tack Coat, Geotextile Fabric Pavement Interlayer, HMA Pavement, Pavement Marking, Traffic Control, and all incidental items required to complete the work. Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) funds as administered through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) are being used to fund a portion of this project. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price. The City of Watertown reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for sixty (60) days after the time set for opening Bids. Bidders shall prequalify with the City on forms in the bidding documents or on forms supplied by the Contractor not less than five (5) days before the opening of Bids. All Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's, certified or bank check, or a Bid Bond equal to at least five percent of the total Bid, made payable to the City of Watertown, such guarantee to be forfeited should the successful Bidder fail to enter into the contract.
