The Town of Willsboro seeks qualifications for New York State licensed professional engineering firms or licensed engineering teams to prepare design services through Construction regarding design and construction of children's playground system and adult fitness trail on the grounds of Florence Hathaway Park, NYS Route 22 Willsboro, NY. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation has awarded the Town of Willsboro a grant to construct a children's playground system and adult fitness trail on Florence Hathaway Park. The Town of Willsboro has appointed a Town Parks Commission with the authorities to review and approve prospective designs for the proposed playground and outdoor fitness equipment. The Town envisions the development of a ten-station adult fitness trail that would be beneficial for a wide range of adult fitness from young adults to seniors, providing aerobic, core, lower and upper body strength exercises. The trail would be a walking loop with trail equipment set up throughout, with each station having instructional and safety signage. The proposed playground system should provide safe mental and physical stimulation for children age range 3-11. The playground should offer a variety of play stations and structures to accommodate children's groups up to 30. Proper use and safety signage to be included, Park benches for adults on the periphery should be included for observation of children at play. The design, construction, and materials must be in accordance with the Federal Consumer Product Safety Commission and other Federal and NYS safety and health requirements for children's playgrounds. SCOPE OF SERVICES Development of park design, as described, coordinated with Town Parks Commission Final Design, Production of Construction documents Submission to and coordination with all involved agencies for final approval Scoping for in kind construction work to be assigned to Town Force and to outside contractors as required Bidding and procurement for required material, parts, and equipment, for park equipment Construction oversight and certification of completion. ANTICIPATED PROJECT SCHEDULE Engineering Contract- March 2025 Design/Agency Review - March/April 2025 Bidding - May 2025 Project Construction - June/July 2025 Substantial Completion - August 2025.
