Question Deadline 07/29/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Please address all questions, in writing, no later than noon to Sue Thompson, Town Clerk, email: townclerk@townofwillsborony.gov The Town of Willsboro isseeking proposals for complete roof replacement on the TownBandstand, located at Gillilland Lane, Willsboro, NY 12996. The following scope of work outlines the requirements for the roof replacement services for the abovereferenced site. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment to remove and replace the existing roof. It is the contractor's responsibility to follow the manufacturer's instructions, and to adhere to industry standards and best practices. Scope of Work (option 1 - Metal Roof) 1) Remove, and dispose of, existing roofing down to sheathing. 2) Inspect sheathing. Ensure existing sheathing is securely fastened. Inform Owner of any damaged, rotten, warped, buckled, etc. sheathing prior to installing new roofing materials. 3) Install drip edge at eaves and rakes in proper sequence with roofleak barrier and underlayment. 4) Install leak barrier, a. at the eaves starting at the drip edge to a point at least 24 inches horizontally inside the conditioned space, b. at the rakes, minimum 18" wide, c. and at all roof penetrations. 5) Install one layer of underlayment on the remainder of the roof deck using plastic cap fasteners. 6) Install new exposed fastener 26-gauge PBR (Purlin Bearing Rib) metal roofing per manufacturers standards. 7) Install new pipe/vent boots. Replace chimney flashing if required. 8) Install PBR ridge cap per manufacturers standards. 9) Reuse, re-secure, and/or clean all existing gutters and down spouts. 10)Complete the disposal of all job-related debris. Scope of Work (option 2 - Asphalt Shingle Roof) 11)Remove, and dispose of, existing roofing down to sheathing. 12)Inspect sheathing. Ensure existing sheathing is securely fastened. Inform Owner of any damaged, rotten, warped, buckled, etc. sheathing prior to installing new roofing materials. 13)Install drip edge at eaves and rakes in proper sequence with roofleak barrier and underlayment. 14)Install leak barrier, a. at the eaves starting at the drip edge to a point at least 24 inches horizontally inside the conditioned space, b. at the rakes, minimum 18" wide, c. and at all roof penetrations. 15)Install one layer of underlayment on the remainder of the roof deck using plastic cap fasteners. 16)Install shingle-manufacturer approved starter strip to eaves and rakes. 17)Install architectural shingles per manufacturer's instructions for maximum wind resistance. 18)Install new pipe/vent boots. Replace chimney flashing if required. 19)Install shingle-manufacturer approved ridge vent along with ridge cap shingles. Installation of ridge cap shingles to start at the north end of the Town Bandstand. 20)Reuse, re-secure, and/or clean all existing gutters and down spouts. 21)Complete the disposal of all job-related debris. The Town Bandstand will not be in use during the replacement of the roof. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to protect the public utilizing the area around the Bandstand from any entering the Bandstand work area to ensure town personnel and the public are kept safe. The Contractor shall complete a magnetic sweep of the work area at the end of each work day, at minimum. The Contractor will be responsible for repairs of damages associated with the work being done (i.e. damages to property; damages caused to the grounds by equipment, including but not limited to ruts from vehicles; etc.).
