Bid Clarifications Due February 7, 2025: 5pm CST Buyer: Larry Allen Lallen35@jccc.edu Description JCCC is accepting bid proposals for the replacement of two (2) air handling units (AHU) in the GYM building. NOTE - All inquiries in regard to this bid must be submitted via the "Clarifications" tab that can be accessed after registration and approval on the JCCC Bid Portal Procureware site. The following is an outline of the scope of work for the removal of existing chilled water air handling unit and replacing it with new at the gym facility. Contractor shall include in Bid all time, material and support services required for a complete and operational system(s). 1. Remove and replace existing chilled water air handling with new chilled water air handling unit as indicated on mechanical plans. 2. Provide new motor starter disconnect. 3. Mechanical contractor shall include in bid all costs of required permits for completion of work. 4. Coordinate access to site with jccc representative. Walk site prior to installation with jccc and repair or replace any damaged ground, walks, etc… during installation. 5. Jccc shall remove existing system controls from air handling unit. Jccc shall reinstall controls in new air handling unit. Mechanical contractor to test system (coordinate with Owner on testing of system) after re-install to confirm system is in good working operation. Work shall include duct mounted smoke detector that’s interlocked with building fire alarm system. 6. Shut down existing unit(s), disconnect power, disconnect ductwork, disconnect damper actuators on dampers where requested and disconnect, drain, and remove piping from air handling unit. Contractor shall coordinate removal and reinstallation of all control devices and retain for reinstallation. Remove and dispose of unit(s) and all associated debris at main campus south compound. 7. Contractor shall provide new chilled water piping as shown on plans. Piping material and insulation shall match existing. 8. Contractor shall remove existing rgf air purification/uv lighting system from main ductwork near each ahu unit as needed to avoid damage to system. Contractor shall Reinstall system after ahu unit replacement. Confirm with manufacturer of air purification. System all requirements to remove and reinstall to avoid damage. Test system (coordinate with manufacturer on testing of system) after re-install to confirm system is in good working operation. 9. Install new johnson control valve and circuit setter (reference attached schedule for control valve schedule) in new piping. 10. Control valves shall be procured thru johnson controls. 11. All fire alarm word demo and install shall be done by jci fire. 12. Circuit setters shall be bell & gossett circuit setter calibrated balance valves with flanged connections or as required to meet existing piping. 13. Confirm existing conduit and wiring is in good working order. Reconnect power feeder to each unit and extend/modify feeders as required. 14. Provide start up, including nebb testing and balancing of new and existing units including water and air flow. Contractor is not responsible for any balancing of downstream ahu devices.
