Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Orangetown, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
This project will replace a traffic signal with a roundabout to mitigate congestion at the intersection of Route 9W at Oak Tree Road in the Town of Orangetown, Rockland County. Pedestrian facilities will be installed up to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards where feasible. NYSDOT Region: 08 Hudson Valley The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Summer 2026. Construction is expected to begin in Fall 2026. Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2027/2028. As of October 14, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2026. NYDOT : Route 9W at Oak Tree Rd Roundabout: Town of Orangetown *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
