KC Engineering and Land Surveying, P.C. is seeking a Subcontractor to provide Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) for survey crews in Rockland County for a portion of I-287 under Contract Number D214812. The work consists of providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment necessary to perform WZTC on I-287, Rockland County, New York, to enable safe surveying and field investigations of approximately eight miles of highway corridor in the Towns of Orangetown, Clarkstown, and Ramapo. Work must be performed in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) - 2009 and the New York State Supplement with all applicable revisions and the NYSTA Standard Sheets (Work Zone Traffic Control), dated May 1, 2025, Volumes 1 & 2. WZTC may be required for shoulder closures, right lane closures, and left lane closures, per day for one crew or two crews at different locations, with bids required for both daytime and nighttime mobilizations. The Subcontractor is required to provide daily rates, adhere to Prevailing Wage provisions, and be able to mobilize within 48 hours of notification. Bidders must visit the site as a condition of submitting a bid and are responsible for on-site safety. The Subcontractor must have at least five years of documented experience in traffic control for NYSDOT and/or NYSTA projects, provide three relevant references, have current flagging certification for all personnel, and be familiar with relevant standards. Proposals must include a summary of ownership of all necessary equipment and be sealed and submitted by mail. Insurance is required as specified in the bid documents. KC reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to make the award to the lowest qualified bidder, subject to NYSTA approval.
