Live Nation is planning to open 18 new music venues to the U.S, including a new one in Raleigh. The concert promoter and parent company of Ticketmaster said it is investing $1 billion to build the new venues. The Raleigh venue, a 4,500-seat ballroom, was announced last year as part of a rezoning project around the Lenovo Center. The project is to be split into four phases over the next 20 years. The first phase includes the ballroom, two parking structures, a tailgating zone, retail space, including bars, restaurants and a potential in-person sportsbook. Construction is set to begin at the end of the 2025 NC State home football season. Future phases will include residential spaces, a hotel, more entertainment options, retail spaces and more.
