The City of Asheville is requesting proposals from qualified, licensed landscape contractors with deep horticultural knowledge to successfully maintain heavily used turf areas on parks and recreational facilities. Parks to be included in the bid are as follows in the Exhibit A section below. Correct horticultural practices for keeping the turf areas mowed at the proper height. Edging sidewalks adjacent to the turf areas and string trimming areas not reachable by mowing equipment. Blowing clippings from turf areas after mowing and also removing clippings from sidewalks or mulched areas. Leaf collection and removal from turf and natural areas. The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities. Question Deadline 02/06/2025 at 4:00 PM ET All questions concerning this Invitation to Bid should be submitted via email to: Jason Crenshaw, Project Manager jcrenshaw@ashevillenc.gov Bidders are invited to show proof of MWBE status, to include NC Office of Historically Underutilized Businesses or other MWBE certifications. If not already certified with the ABI Office at the City of Asheville, bidders are further invited to become certified with the City of Asheville as an MWBE vendor.
