This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Asheville, North Carolina. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
Description of Work: The City of Asheville is seeking engineering services that include evaluation and recommendations for resilient systems, including incorporation of solar, battery storage, and electrification where appropriate. The facilities to be evaluated have a variety of existing resilient systems including solar photovoltaic systems, and/or existing back up and standby generators. Facilities under consideration include Broadway Public Safety Station, and Fire Stations 8, 10, and 11. If appropriate and within the project budget, the city may include Fire Stations 2 and 5 and the Shiloh and Steven's Lee Recreation Centers. If incorporated in the scope of services, Fire Stations 2, 5 and 8 will require a solar analysis. This project is funded by a Resilient Renewable Energy to Diminish Disaster Impacts on Communities (Resilient REDDI Communities) grant from the Department of Energy administered by the North Carolina State University. The resulting contract may require the selected firm to abide by federal acquisition requirements.
