DBH Olive Avenue Campus Remodel 5555 E. Olive Ave Fresno , CA 93727 Estimate range: $25,900,000 to $28,700,000 The work to be done consists, in general, of remodeling the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) building, an approximately 115,000 square foot office building located at 5555 E. Olive Avenue, Fresno, CA 93727. The building interior will be renovated to provide adult and children behavioral health service suites, adult and children urgent care suites, medical and records support suites, a multi-purpose/childcare suite, and staff offices. Working Days: Complete all work for submittals and ordering materials/equipment within 250 working days (refer to Section 005123, Agreement). The scheduled pre-bid will be the only opportunity for prospective bidders to visit the site in the presence of County staff, and requests for individual site visits with County staff will not be granted. This project is subject to the contracting requirements and implementing regulations as amended in Title 13, Section 2449 General Requirements for In-Use Off-Road Diesel Fueled Fleets, of the California Code of Regulations (13 CCR 2449(i)). Bidders must submit a valid Certificate of Reported Compliance (CRC) issued by the California Air Resources Control Board at the time of bidding. Bidders are responsible for submitting their listed subcontractors' CRCs and any supporting documentation within five (5) calendar days of bid opening. Failure to submit the required CRCs may render a bid nonresponsive. Bid security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid, and in the form of a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer licensed by the California Department of Insurance, cash, cashier's check or certified check shall accompany the bid. You must either attach an electronic bid bond or provide an original bid bond (or other form of bid security authorized by Public Contract Code section 20129(a)), prior to the bid opening. A valid California Contractor's License, Class B (General Building), is required for this project. Asbestos certification from the Contractors State License Board and registration with the Division of Occupational Safety and Health is not required to bid this project. Future effective general prevailing wage rates, which have been predetermined and are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but not printed in the general prevailing wage rates. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. Bids will be compared on the basis of the total lump sum bid. In addition to the bid bond required by law of all bidders on public works projects, the successful bidder shall furnish a faithful performance bond, a payment bond and a warranty bond in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.36 of the General Conditions The successful bidder shall furnish a faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. Each bond specified in this Notice (bid bond, faithful performance bond and payment bond) shall meet the requirements of all applicable statutes, including but not limited to those specified in Public Contract Code section 20129 and Civil Code section 3248. Each bond specified in this Notice shall be issued by a surety company designated as an admitted surety insurer in good standing with and authorized to transact business in this state by the California Department of Insurance, and acceptable to the County of Fresno. Bidders are cautioned that representations made by surety companies will be verified with the California Department of Insurance.
