Renovation of a fire / police facility in Rohnert Park, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) Santa Rosa Area Office, the services described herein: furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Replacement Services. The services shall be performed at: Department of California Highway Patrol Santa Rosa Area office 6100 LaBath Avenue Rohnert Park, CA 94928 The term of the resulting agreement is anticipated to be effective from April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026. Question Deadline 02/13/2025 at 9:00 AM PT Bidders shall submit questions via email to KELLIE AU at Kellie.au@chp.ca.gov. In the opinion of the CHP, this Invitation for Bids is complete and without need of explanation. However, if questions arise or there is a need to obtain clarifying information, bidders shall submit requests in accordance with the instructions in section D of the IFB entitled "Bidder Questions." California Law Requires Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation. All bidders for this solicitation, must meet the minimum DVBE participation requirement of 5%. Contractor shall provide a Payment Bond equal to 100 percent of the value of the Agreement. Contractor shall complete State of California Standard 807, in duplicate, and submit prior to execution of Agreement. License Requirement/Certification: Contractor must possess a valid C-20 WarmAir Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractor, California Contractor's State License Board (CSLB) License. SCOPE OF WORK (Continued) 8. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS A. Remove and dispose of six (6) existing HVAC unit according to federal, state, and local regulations. B. Install six (6) new commercial grade Energy Star rated HVAC unit including parts, fittings, and rebuild kits to connect to the existing piping if needed. C. Provide and install economizers with the new units making sure to calibrate for proper function. D. Remove and replace three (3) thermostats with updated models similar to the other thermostats within the facility as described in the walk through. E. Contractor shall perform pre and post testing & balancing for entire system. F. Where applicable, Contractor is to seek any public utility rebates and pass the cost savings on to the California Highway Patrol. G. Contractor shall start-up and test the unit to ensure proper operation and to make any adjustments needed. H. Contractor shall provide on-site training to CHP staff on the operation and functions of the newly installed HVAC unit. I. Contractor shall provide two copies of Operation and Maintenance Manuals to the CHP on-site contact. J. Contractor is responsible for obtaining any permits required for the installation of the HVAC unit. K. Contractor shall remove all debris, including packaging materials from the jobsite on a daily basis. L. Contractor shall warranty work for a period of one (1) year after installation and provide manufacturer's warranty on equipment installed. M. The replacement equipment and installation must be compliant with the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 6, regulations.
