Site work and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Rohnert Park, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
As of February June 2, 2025, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will be rebid but no definite date yet. The Project consists of work in two areas. The work at Magnolia Park, located at 1401 Middlebrook Way, Rohnert Park, is described generally as crack repair, resurfacing and restriping of the existing tennis courts. The work at Sunrise Park, located at 5301 Synder Lane, Rohnert Park, is described generally as a complete reconstruction of the existing tennis and pickleball courts, including new asphalt courts, site furnishings, fencing and sports court lighting, restriping the existing tennis courts to pickleball, and installation of a storm water bioretention feature. The Contractor must have a valid California contractor's license, a Class A license. The Engineer's estimate for this Project is $2,000,000. The Contractor must begin work within fifteen (15) calendar days after official notice by the City Engineer to proceed with the work and must diligently prosecute the same to completion within 110 working days of that Notice. Contractor shall complete work at Magnolia Park by July 23, 2025, unless extended by the City Engineer. Per California Civil Code Section 9550, a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid total will be required from the successful bidder for bids exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). The bond must be provided within fifteen (15) calendar days from notice of award and prior to the performance of any work. A performance bond and bid bond must also be provided for bids exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. The City may reject any and all bids and waive any minor irregularity in the bids.
