The Project is located at the City of Rohnert Park Animal Shelter located at 301 J Rogers Lane. The work is described generally as an interior rehabilitation of the animal grooming room including; replacement of flooring, casework, light fixtures, and animal grooming tub. Contractor must have a valid California contractor's license, a Class B license. The Contractor must begin work within fifteen (15) calendar days after official notice by the Project Manager to proceed with the work and must diligently prosecute the same to completion within forty five (45) working days of that Notice. Per California Civil Code Section 9550, a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid total will be required from the successful bidder for bids exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). The bond must be provided within fifteen (15) calendar days from notice of award and prior to the performance of any work. A performance bond and bid bond must also be provided for bids exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). The City of Rohnert Park makes no representation or warranty of the condition of the jobsite. All prospective bidders are requested to carefully review the project scope and to examine and conduct tests or otherwise satisfy themselves as to the conditions at the Project site, subject to coordination with the office of the Rohnert Park City Engineer. Bids will be opened, examined and declared on said day and hour and referred to and considered by the City Manager and Assistant City Manager for approval. Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms furnished by the City, and each bid must include all the items shown on these forms. Substitute forms may be used if specified in this Notice. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. The City may reject any and all bids and waive any minor irregularity in the bids.
