Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of improvements to the intersection, including roadway widening, new sidewalks, and new traffic signals. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be received in writing by the Town of Falmouth, Department of Public Works, Engineering Division, 416 Gifford Street, Falmouth, MA 02540 at least ten (10) days before the date set herein for the opening of bids. General Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit. The amount of the bid deposit shall be an amount of 5 percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum total bid price, payable to the Town of Falmouth, MA. The bid security will be retained until the successful bidder has executed the contract with the Town, whereupon it will be returned. If the bidder fails to execute the contract within 30 calendar days of the Notice of Award, the Town may annul the award and the bid security will be forfeited. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of 120 calendar days, after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Construction Performance Bond and a 100 percent (100%) Construction Payment Bond with a surety company licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality in or reject any and all Bids, or to accept the Bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Falmouth. Question Deadline 02/11/2025
