Renovation of a municipal facility in Miami Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The work in general consists of but is not limited to the following: Interior/Exterior renovations which include existing public bathrooms (refer to plans by Angel Saqui AIA for locations and details), renovation of existing breakroom with new appliances and stainless steel cabinets, new exterior turtle safe lighting package, new interior ceiling lighting packing (refer to plans by Angel Saqui AIA for locations and details), placement of new epoxy floors at specified locations (refer to plans by Angel Saqui AIA for locations and details),New roof coping caps, Non-slip paint at garage area, new exterior windows and storefront replacements, replacement of exterior CCD cameras to be fully recessed, new exterior MDFR signage to be inclusive of decorative wave design, polishing of existing cable safety railings, waterproofing exterior eyebrows and 2nd floor exterior wall elements and flooring (refer to plans by Angel Saqui AIA for locations and details), the repainting of the Ocean Rescue station both interior and exterior (Colors TBD by MDFR Project Manager). The proposed new windows and doors are to be Miami-Dade County approved Impact Resistant with current NOAs. The scope is to be inclusive of removing the existing windows and doors with all the ancillary accessories accompanied...i.e. Kantech card reader systems, door sensors, electric door strikes, all existing door hardware & Lock systems to be replaced with new (refer to plans and specs for details in door schedule remarks), etc. The contractor is to refer to all plans and specifications provided with the RPQ and Bid documents for full scope of work. Dimensions and specifications indicated on the subject project contract drawings, shall be verified by the contractor. The contractor shall notify Miami-Dade Fire Rescue immediately of any deviations or conditions encountered which are contrary to those indicated on the project contract documents and drawings. Failure to make notifications shall place responsibility upon the contractor to carry out the work in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner. PERMITS: o Permits are to be required for all stations listed in the RPQ and the Contractor is to include the associated permit costs in their proposal. o Contractor to acquire permits from the respective authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). Plans have been submitted for permit processing by the Architect of Record and ready to pull permit. o Contractor to provide and submit all necessary shop drawings as required by the AHJ and MDFR, prior to fabrication and installation. The work includes, but not limited to: Plumbing/Electrical/HVAC/Low Voltage/Roofing - Contractor to provide and install All Plumbing/Electrical/HVAC work associated with the proposed project contract drawings for the Station Renovations & Window/Door replacements. Contractor shall be familiar with the project contract drawings as well as the project site. All Electrical installation work shall comply and meet All standard requirements of the NEC, FBC, and any other applicable Federal, State and local codes, such as local electric utility and telephone company. The last day for project RFI QUESTIONS is close of business on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Any questions submitted after aforementioned date shall not be considered. MDFR will review and answer the questions, prior to the bid due date.
