The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) invites proposals from qualified firms to conduct a comprehensive Decommissioning Study for Fitz Hall. This study aims to evaluate the existing condition of Fitz Hall, assess the feasibility and requirements for safely decommissioning the facility, and provide recommendations and direction for a phased decommissioning while maintaining operational continuity within the surrounding campus areas. Fitz Hall, which has served various academic, research, and administrative purposes over the years, is approaching the end of its useful structural life. The University recognizes the necessity of planning for the building's eventual decommissioning to optimize campus space utilization and address long-term infrastructure needs.
