IFB Contact: City of Chelsea, MA Dragica Ivanis Chief Procurement Officer City Hall 500 Broadway, Room 204 Chelsea, MA 02150 Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company, or a bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the City, all in the amount of 5% of the bid payable to the ''City of Chelsea.'' The contract term will commence on March 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026 with two additional one year options, at the sole discretion of the City, from March 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027 and March 1, 2027 - February 29, 2028 respectively. Deadline for Written Inquiries 01/28/2025 Response to Written Inquiries 02/03/2025 Should the successful bidder fail to commence or diligently perform according to the terms of the contract, the successful bidder agrees to pay to the City of Chelsea, as liquidated damages, Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per calendar day that the successful bidder fails to commence or diligently perform the work in accordance with the contract documents and/or is in violation of the contract. Liquidated damages assessed under this provision shall be deducted from any payment(s) due to the successful bidder. The City of Chelsea reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject and/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities and/or formalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the City.
