The warm-water system will provide clean, filtered saltwater to 6 pre-existing acrylic & fiberglass aquarium tanks with a combined water volume of approximately 1,250 gallons. The new system should also build on the aquariums current apex monitoring system to remotely monitor water quality parameters and equipment operations. To bid on this project, the bidder is required to possess the following state of california contractor license : c61/d34 specialty ca contractors license - installation of prefabricated equipment. The bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the contract. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the district, cash, or a cashiers check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the lompoc unified school district, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the bid form and proposal, as a guarantee that the bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the notice of award, enter into a contract with the district for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond if it is awarded the contract for the work. Pursuant to public contract code section 7201 the districts board or its designee has determined this project requires retention in the amount of five percent (5%). The district shall award the contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. The board of education of the lompoc unified school district reserves the right to reject any and all submittals. The district makes no representation that participation in the bid process will lead to an award of contract or any consideration whatsoever. In no event will the district be responsible for the cost of preparing a response to this bid. The district also reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in received submittals.
