The William S. Hart Union High School District (District) is authorized to procure lease-leaseback (LLB) construction services pursuant to Education Code section 17406, et seq. The District issues this Request for Proposals (RFQ/P) to request submission of responses from qualified firms, associations, persons, or professional organizations (Contractor(s)) to submit proposals to perform preconstruction and construction services for Saugus High School Repair of Delaminated Acoustical Panels. Contractors will be submitting Responses to perform preconstruction and construction services for the Saugus High School Repair of Delaminated Acoustical Panels Project. The selected Contractor will generally be required to perform all necessary tasks required to fully complete the Project, pursuant to the requirements of the Lease-Leaseback Agreement (Contract). The Contractor will first perform Preconstruction Services (e.g., cost estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews) to assist the District and its architect in developing and refining the final construction documents for the Project. Next, the contractor will develop a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the Project and procure subcontractors. Lastly, with the Districts acceptance of the GMP, the contractor shall construct the Project consistent with the final approved construction documents and the Contract. It is important that Contractor(s) submitting proposals have experience working with K-14 projects and Lease-Leaseback experience.
