Reference Number 0000374578 Bids are requested for a one-year term contract with two, one-year renewal options to furnish and install balled and burlap and/or containerized trees on an "as needed" basis, as per the specifications contained herein. All trees supplied shall adhere to the American Standard for Nursery Stock (ANSI Z60.1) set by the American Nursery and Landscape Association. All balled and burlap and /or containerized trees provided to the City shall be minimum 1"-1.75" caliper. The City reserves the right to award to multiple contractors as it deems in its own best interests to do so. The intent of this contract is to order trees "as needed", on a job-order basis, as per specifications subject to availability when requested by the City of Grand Rapids. Individual requests will be made by separate purchase order through the City's Parks & Recreation/Forestry Division.Typical tree planting under this contract is described as located in an area surrounded by grass, bark bed, or mulch. Contractor is to water, warranty and maintain trees that are furnished and installed for one-year. Contractor shall provide a watering schedule to the City's Project Manager. The warranty period begins after the Contractor receives approval and sign-off by the City Project Manager for the completed job order.
