All work surfaces, panels, files, upper storage, freestanding storage, and their components used to install this project shall be from the same manufacturer. A mix of product lines will be acceptable with prior approval. Any substitutions or alternates must have prior approval from Interior Designer. All furniture for this project is to be new, re-manufactured product will not be allowed. If the listed acceptable manufactures and their system lines are not able to meet all the components of the following specifications, this must be so noted in the bid package. Grand Rapids Community College will receive sealed proposals, for multiple furniture and equipment categories, from qualified dealerships to perform all work necessary and incidental for the Ford Rec Center project, located at 226 Ransom Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI, in accordance with published instructions, specifications, drawings and other contract documents. Bids received after such time and date and bids received electronically or via fax will not be accepted or considered, they will be returned to the respective Bidder, unopened. Evaluation of proposals and awards by the School Board of Education will be at a later date. Bid opening will take place at the GRCC Administration Building - Room 016, at 415 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI 49503, (616) 234-4000. Bidders MUST use the bid form provided in the project manual. RETURN TWO (2) COMPLETE COPIES OF BID SUBMITTAL. Electronic copies of the bid form are also encouraged in addition to the hard copy provided in the bid submission. All bidders are required to furnish Bid Security in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total bid. Form of the security may be a bid bond, certified check, cashiers check or money order made payable to Owner. Personal and company checks will not be accepted. For bids in excess of $50,000.00 a Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds covering 100% of the value of the Project will be required. This is to be shown as a dollar amount; any other description given on the Proposal Form other then a dollar amount will not be acceptable. All bidders must complete Affidavit of Bidder form and Affidavit of Compliance - Iran Economic Sanctions Act (see last two (2) pages of the Bid Proposal Form - Section 00 41 00). Forms must be filled out correctly and notarized. Failure to complete these forms will result in disqualification of bid. Proposals shall remain firm for sixty (60) days from date of Bid Opening. Prospective Bidders shall review Disclaimer for Use of Electronic Cad Files and complete Electronic Media Request Form (found in bid package).
