Scope of Work: This project will be funded with Appalachian Regional Commission along with Murray County funds. Construction includes minor clearing, erosion control, earthwork, graded aggregate base, and asphalt for a 2-lane, roadside swale roadway of approximately 1,500 linear feet in length. All work shall conform to the Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021 Edition; GDOT's Supplemental Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021; and all applicable GDOT Standards and Details; and other contract requirements, specifications and general conditions. Project work will be required to begin within 60 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed and be substantially complete within 240 calendar days. All punch-list items will be required to be complete within 30 days of the Final Inspection. Eligible bidders and subcontractors shall satisfy all applicable licensure requirements for Contractors performing work in the State of Georgia and must meet all applicable insurance and bonding requirements as stipulated in the separate Instructions to Bidders and Contract Documents. Verifying documents for the prime contractor/bidder will be required prior to contract award, and for all subcontractors prior beginning work. Additional addendums may be issued during the proposal period. All proposers are responsible to check the County Website for addendums. Bids may not be considered unless so received.
