A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Bids will be presented to the School Board at the next succeeding regular Board meeting, all in accordance with Board policy. All bids shall be made in accordance with forms and specifications attached to and made a part of the proposed contract documents. Each bid for which the aggregate amount for all items bid exceeds $25,000, must contain a certified check, cashier's check or draft for 5% of the amount of the bid, (including ''add alternates''), such check or draft to be certified or issued by either a state or national bank and payable to the School District; or in lieu thereof, a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid (including ''add alternates''); such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in this state and payable to the School District. The certified check, cashier's check, draft or bid bond guarantees the execution of a contract and shall be held by the School District until the contract is executed. Faxed or emailed bid security will not be accepted (SDCL 5-18B-2 and 13-20-7). The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Contract Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the penal amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price in a form approved by the School District, dated and executed the same date as the contract documents to comply with statutory requirements, in accordance with SDCL 5-18B-4. The School Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities. Grading, asphalt removal, cold milling asphalt, sidewalk repair, curb & gutter repair, subgrade cement stabilization, concrete curb & gutter, aggregate base course, asphalt concrete surfacing and pavement markings for the Oscar Howe Elementary School playground and for the Discovery Elementary School parking lot and playground in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
