Sign Materials This proposal shall be legibly prepared in ink or typed on the Bidding Blank furnished. If any price already entered by bidder is to be altered, it shall be crossed out with ink, the new price entered above it with ink and initialed by bidder, also with ink. Proposals prepared with pencil will be rejected. A cost sheet clearly describing the sign material will be attached and submitted and made a part of this proposal. List quantity discounts if any. I, the undersigned, propose to furnish the following items which have been checked, at the bid prices shown on the enclosed manufacturers specification and quotation sheets. Prices include delivery to the Gratiot County Road Commission Garage at 920 East Center St., Ithaca, Michigan. Prices shall remain firm through March 1, 2026. Cash Discounts, if any, shall be based on periods of 30 days or more after the delivery of vendor's invoice. Lesser periods will not be considered in the awarding. Invoices must be in duplicate. All signs shall comply with those shown in the current edition (including revisions thereto) of the "Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices" (MMUTCD) and be fabricated as detailed by the "Standard Highway Signs" book published by the Michigan Department of State Highways and Transportation. All signs shown in the MMUTCD and included in the "Standard Highway Signs" publication generally conform to signs included in the National "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways" published by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration. Section 257,610(c) of the Michigan Vehicle Code requires: "A person, firm or corporation shall not sell or offer for sale to local authorities and local authorities shall not purchase or manufacture any traffic control device which does not conform to the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices except by permission of the Director of the Department of State Highways." (Act 300 PA 1949 as amended by Act 72 of 1972) The supplier shall certify that all signs furnished by him are in compliance with this section of the law. All materials and posts shall be shipped and received within 30 days of receipt of the order. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in any bid and to accept the bid they deem in the best interest of the County Road Commission. This contract can be extended only if mutually agreeable between the supplier and the Gratiot County Road Commission, under the terms and conditions provided herein.
